Easter morning in the TeNgaio house.
Sunshine, a basket of eggs and one happy boy.
Before the main event.

Well, Easter weekend started off on the wrong foot for us. We took the kids to the egg hunt at Tautphaus Park Saturday morning and ended up getting into an argument with a couple. To make a long story short this couple pretty much singled out Brittany after the egg hunt and chewed her out for holding Madeline's hand, (who is at the ripe old age of 16 months), during the egg hunt while about 100+ egg-crazed kids AND parents plowed on to gather eggs. I could go off but I'll just say that some people should just stay home.

Easter morning was a frenzy in the house as Ethan and Madeline searched for eggs and then raided their loot that the Easter Bunny left for them. Needless to say, we had some jacked up kids on simple carbohydrates the rest of the morning!

Rolley Polley Fish Heads…

Ethan and the remains of Mr. Fish

…eat them up yum?

Ethan and dad had the joy of preparing a salmon that his grandpa caught steelhead fishing in Salmon, ID last weekend. He thought it was so cool chopping the head and tail off and he repeatedly keep touching the slimy fish head and saying "Ewww, gross!" He loved it. The other household occupants didn't love it so much though after dad undercooked the fish and pretty much screwed it up. Hey, I'm a pretty good cook but a whole fish like that is kind of new to me, (I don't fish by the way). Oh well.

Ethan sporting his future hockey look.

We had a monumental event this past week: Ethan lost his first tooth, (and he really almost lost it!). Brittany and I both asked each other "Now what is the Tooth Fairy supposed to do?" He was so excited about the Tooth Fairy coming I'm surprised he fell asleep that night. It's kind of ironic though, because he's had a lot of dental work done in the past 6 months, only to have his teeth start falling out naturally. Yeah, that Tooth Fairy might want to think twice about leaving him money from now on.

Madeline is over having the flu and mom is starting to feel better too. They were both out of commish this past week/weekend and were not very happy.

Madi's new infatuation is shoes – she cannot get enough of them! That girl is already taking after her mother.
